Multi-talented Pop artist, Tara Macri is letting us know she’s had enough with her fierce new single “Excuses” released by the LA-based Indie label 10 Count Records.

Following the success of her hit single “Prettiest Girl in the Room” which broke Billboard’s Top 80 and received extensive air time on Terrestrial and Sirius XM radio. Her latest release “Excuses” comes out of the gates with a stripped back, infectious percussive beat. Anthemic hooks and bold vocal melodies create a strong, empowering soundscape along with back up vocal bringing a collective atmospheric effort further adding to the nature of the track.

‘Excuses’, co-written with Andrea England, Hill Kourkoutis, produced by Hill Kourkoutis and mixed by the Grammy Award-wining Chris Lord-Alge, Mastered by Ted Jensen at Sterling Sound, tells a story of betrayal and broken promises and a powerful reminder to stand up for ourselves and make our voices heard. In the trying times of our world’s current state, this track is exactly what we need right now as Tara explains, “Excuses” is about saying enough is enough. Counting on someone and they let you down. When they break that promise and all you have left are excuses.”

Shot in a safe, socially distanced environment, the fun, energetic dance music video captures the power and emotion portrayed in the track. With effortless style and brilliant choreography (and co-directing) by Tara and Sam Allen with co-director p.m.lipscomb, Tara is able to convey the strength and poise it takes to finally speak your truth and say enough is enough.

Tara has an impressive award winning artistic background fueled by her lifelong passion for the arts. She is the recipient of the Mary Savage Award at the prestigious Stratford Festival. Tara has landed roles on Broadway ( Hairspray, Jersey Boys and The First Wives Club), also starring in Hairspray at the Hollywood Bowl opposite Nick Jonas and John Stamos and being the voice of YoungTigress in the Kung Fu Panda prequel, “Secrets of the Scroll,” (Feat. Jack Black, Dustin Hoffman, Seth Rogan, and Lucy Liu).

With superb accolades behind her and more tracks to come, Tara is making a bold statement and has established herself as one to watch.
