Home is a beautiful ballad with only piano, cello and vocals that is bound to capture listeners’ hearts with its simplistic beauty and honesty.” Tara wrote the song for a friend who passed away unexpectedly and tragically. “I wanted to let them somehow know that wherever they are, I will always hold them in my heart,” reveals Tara. “We all have experienced and will continue to experience loss in our lives, but my hope is that through song, the pain can soften a little more quickly and fonder memories can endure.”

Tara had a strong supportive team of collaborators behind ‘Home.’ The song is produced and mixed by Daryn Barry (Imagine Dragons, Justin Bieber, Annie Lennox, Avril Lavigne, Amy Winehouse, One Republic, Katy Perry, Lorde, Of Monsters and Men, and Ellie Goulding) and was recorded at the famous Orange Lounge Studios in Toronto, Canada. Juno Award winner Sean Nimmons-Paterson plays piano and Simon Huber (Rachel Platen, Mike Posner) plays cello on the recording.

Tara co-wrote ‘Home’ with the accomplished artist Jaylene Johnson. Johnson is a Canadian singer-songwriter darling whose original songs have been featured on shows such as “So You Think You Can Dance”, “Pretty Little Liars” and “Degrassi: The Next Generation.”
